We've made a lot of progress in the past year. The Berry Memorial Library has been able to add or replace over 1000 books and audio books in all sections of the library. A big thank you to all for the generous donations, grants, and book suggestions; these efforts all create a library offering titles for everyone in our great community.
The Library Needs Volunteers!
There is an immediate need for library volunteers. Contact Claudine Emerson, the Library Director, if you would like to assist patrons of all ages on Tuesdays from 11am - 5pm beginning January 24th, 2012.
New Collection of Books
Through generous donations in memory of Harriet Boulter Angis, the library has added 33 books to the collection. Mrs. Angis had a myriad of interests and the latest additions reflect her enthusiasm for gardening and Native American culture among other things.

Bangor Savings Bank Foundation is once again kicking off its
unique, grant-making initiative, Community Matters More. As a previous
participant in Community Matters More, they want to be sure to give you
the opportunity to help allocate a total of $100,000 to 68 community
non-profits throughout Maine.
Each of the 48 non-profits listed on the ballot will receive at least a
$1,000 grant for participating in the program, and the top 20 write-in
vote-getters will also receive a grant from the Bangor Savings Bank
Foundation. …
